Diplodus sargus saurgus

The White seabream occurs along coastal areas and shallow seamounts. It may be found very close to the shoreline and to depths of up to 50m.

Conservation Status

Although there is no immediate concern as to the status of this species, locally caught white seabream have been allocated a minimum commercial size of 15 cm.

White seabream have a maximum size of 45 cm (3.7 kg) and a maximum reported age of 10 years.
