The Common seabream usually occurs over rocky bottoms along coastal areas or around shallow seamounts and at depths of up to 150 m.

Conservation Status

Although there is no immediate concern as to the status of this species, locally caught common seabream have been allocated a minimum commercial size of 30 cm.
